#HLDiscovery: Cherry Beer, Stylish Aprons and Street Soirées

Forget those New Year's Resolutions to diet and eat clean! This week's #HLDiscovery list is so deliciously decadent that the foodie in you will be desperate to sample it all. And since House and Leisure is all about 'The pleasure of living here now', we say you swap the carrot sticks for some chocolate and take a big bite out of life. Enjoy!
1. Cherry Chouffe
Imported to South Africa by The Belgian Beer Company, Cherry Chouffe is a speciality fruit beer made from Mc Chouffe beer and cherries. Cloudy with a deep red colour, Cherry Chouffe is a smooth beer with aromas of sour cherries, strawberries, marzipan and sweet port. Expect flavours of red fruit, almond and a bit of spice that will pair well with blue cheese and chocolate, as well as seafood and shellfish.

2. Chocolate by Katelyn Williams
Food stylist and photographer Katelyn Williams has released her first recipe book titled Chocolate (Human & Rousseau, R380). Featuring an assortment of dark, milk and white chocolate concoctions, the book is beautifully shot and packed with interesting recipes. Chocolate lets you expand your culinary skills in the most indulgent way with speedy, fruity, crunchie, creamy, fancy and naughty offerings. Find recipes like no-bake brownies, end-of-the-month truffles and dark chocolate orange brûlée, to name but a few.
3. Mungo's Chef Apron
Protect your clothes while you work with a chef apron from renowned textile company Mungo. Adding to its already impressive apparel range, the trio of aprons feature adjustable shoulder straps and generous double pockets, making them practical as well as aesthetically pleasing. 4. Stellenbosch Street Soirées
The ever-popular Stellenbosch Street Soirées is back and ready to provide you with a lovely evening out on the picturesque streets of the Western Cape town. Presented by the Stellenbosch Wine Route, you can enjoy wine tastings, sumptuous street food and wonderful music. The Stellenbosch Street Soirées happens in summer once a month on a #WineWednesday in Drostdy Street. Cars make way for pedestrians to roam the streets and make the most of the offerings. Each Stellenbosch Street Soirées features a different selection of cellars and street fare caterers. Entry costs R150 per person, which gets you a glass and 12 wine-tasting tokens. The dates for the remaining events are 16 and 30 January, and 13 February 2019.
