This is what is on our radar this week.
Winter in the Cape brings wet, windy weather. It also brings a myriad of winter specials and menus from a whole host of establishments, that are sure to brighten your mood. From lunch menus to cocktail specials, this week's #HLDiscovery list looks at seven brilliant winter feasts in which to indulge when in and around Cape Town this season.
1. Constantia Glen
Known for serving up flammkuchen (German-style flatbread) at its tasting room, Constantia Glen has also added a selection of comforting homemade soups and more substantial dishes to tuck into this winter.
These are perfect for chillier weather. They are available as single servings or as a trio of smaller portions, and visitors can indulge in dishes like Constantia Glen’s famous traditional Austrian beef goulash served with spätzle, French onion soup with croûte au fromage, and delicious potato and leek soup. Both soups are served with crispy, freshly baked bread. Each of the winter dishes can be paired with one of Constantia Glen’s wines.
