Dichaba's Trend Scoop
Posted: 07 July 2015
This Joburg ad industry mover and shaker loves sophisticated design that doesn’t date
That Dichaba Nkadimeng has considered taste is an understatement. The owner of Joburg-based advertising and design agency Studio17-Partnership positively radiates sophisticated urban style. He’d fit right in as ‘a piano player in a jazz band or an architect’, both professions he might easily have pursued.
Dichaba cites his greatest inspiration as ‘people who are willing to sweat it out until they see their dreams come to reality’. He’s also moved by travel, with Copenhagen his favourite foreign city. His own distinctive style shines through in a love of classic pieces such as Barcelona chairs (‘in brown or tan’), the Aston Martin Vanquish Volante, and a timeless Rolex Milgauss watch. ‘I love beautifully and sustainably designed products and services.’

When not servicing clients including South African Breweries and Rand Water, or promoting the range of Southern Ice Tea beverages he co-owns, you’ll find him mountain biking, kicking back with a book (he’s a fan of Bret Easton Ellis) or cooking for his wife and two sons. ‘Nothing beats being at home with family and friends.’
