Bradley Abraham's Trend Scoop
Posted: 14 July 2015
An all-round creative, Brad is Cape Town's go-to guy for anything from leopard-print sneakers to edgy website concepts There’s not much that doesn't ignite the interest of Bradley Abrahams, the ebullient creative entrepreneur and style influencer whose passions range from rare Japanese sneaker brands to music, vintage racing cars to cooking. He wears multiple hats, too, balancing a busy and varied work schedule while being ‘father to Stella, age three, husband to Sarah, and protector of my beloved hounds, Alabama and Boomer’. The owner of Smith & Abrahams General Dealer & Men's Outfitters in Woodstock, a concept store that stocks a multitude of footwear and apparel brands alongside books and accessories, he’s also the creative director and ex-partner in ‘infamous’ Cape Town sport/street wear label 2Bop. In addition, he runs a creative solutions consultancy called The Good Count, with services ranging from digital design to creative direction. Above: A few of his favourite things include: a Nico Krijno photograph of a bottle of Klipdrift in a vintage D&G silk shirt; an Eames moulded plastic side chair, 'I know it's played out but I will forever love it'; Japanese brand Losers' sneakers; the USM modular shelving system. Some of Bradley's most prized possessions include his Eames side chair, his Ford Granada Coupé and a Masamoto kitchen knife. But, he adds: 'My absolute favourite thing in the world has to be my little girl, Stella.' smithandabrahams.co.za, thegoodcount.co.za READ MORE: Jack Alexander’s Trend Scoop Jackie Burger’s Trend Scoop Karabo Poppy Moletsane’s Trend Scoop Vie Mutshekwane’s Trend Scoop For game-changing home makeovers, insider industry contacts and fresh decor updates, get your copy of the July 2015 Renovations issue, on sale now!
