MAJOZI

MAJOZI started writing songs for the EP about a year ago. He admits to a slow start, but after finding some inspiration in the form of help from fellow Durban musicians, Josh and Brad Klynsmith (Gangs of Ballet), and teaming up with Gavin Edwards to write the first single, Someday, he started writing a few more songs for the EP. Stay With Me from the EP was written by Jethro Tait, and Fire and The Fight were written by Eugene Coetzer from MonArk. @majozimusic   SEAN KOCH

Sean is a young, talented musician and songwriter, born in Kommetjie, Cape Town. His music is a fusion of alternative folk, naturally blended into a foot- tapping, fun-loving country surf style. Playing the djembe from an early age taught him the rhythm and beat which subtly speaks through his smooth guitar riffs and softly sung lyrics and it is this fresh and individual sound which has garnered him a rapid breakthrough into the incredibly rich and diverse CT music scene. @Sean-Koch   TOUCHWOOD

TouchWood is an Indie-Folk band from Cape Town, South Africa. The band's fresh, unique sound and catchy, up-beat melodies have made them popular right from the start. The band has since gone on to play the majority of South Africa and Spain's most prominent music festivals. The Martin Brothers are an unparalleled guitar duo that hails from Pretoria. Drawing influences from the raw folk sensibilities of Neil Young to the rhythms and melodies of West-African guitarist Ali Farka Touré and the cut-throat blues of Rory Gallagher, their music is at times wistful, at times foot-stomping – rendered original by a generous dash of Martin idiosyncrasies. Brethren in blood and in music, Johnathan and Aidan Martin are naturally in tune with one another. Feeding off each other’s raw energy, they are at their best when they perform live – that said, a new EP recorded in studio will be released soon.
