Established in 1859, Excelsior Wine Estate has given way to five generations of winemakers in the De Wet family. The Excelsior Manor Guesthouse offers luxury accommodation on this working wine farm in the heart of the Robertson Wine Valley. Summer days on the estate are best spent beside the swimming pool, situated on an elevated yet secluded wooden deck. Guests can enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of the vineyards and the Langeberg Mountain range, and for the more adventurous, the farm and its scenic viewpoints can be explored by mountain bike. Oenophiles are given the opportunity to blend, bottle and label their own creation in Excelsior’s tasting room, which looks out onto the farm dam and its abundant birdlife.
You could be one of two House and Leisure readers to win a two-night stay for two people, worth R4 700, in the Excelsior Manor Guesthouse. The prize includes a wine-tasting, blending and bottling experience, 12 bottles of wine and a complimentary dessert for two at the farm deli. To enter, fill out the form below.
Please note that accommodation dates are subject to availability, transport is not included and the guesthouse has a no-children policy.
