The third Vendange store opened in South Africa last week, bringing its exclusive range of recycled wood products, and more, to the Fair Cape. Brothers Richard and Oliver Davies opened their first store in Joburg’s 44 Stanley, in July last year, and they’ve been unstoppable ever since. Vendange is French for grape harvest and signals the promise of the annual vintage. A fitting name, considering most of the products in the store are made from recycled wine barrels. The main product line is the brothers’ Boutique Vineyards Trudeau cheese and baguette board range. Made from 100% recycled French oak wine barrels from local vineyards, they’re beautiful examples of just how stylish recycling can be. Vendange also stocks food, wine and olive oil accessories as well as many other decor items. Think carefully sourced glassware, ceramics, champagne buckets, wooden wine crates, kitchen tables and other homeware products. Vendange stores are open in Joburg, Bloemfontein and Cape Town, and Richard is hoping to be set up in Durban by June, too. The new Vendange store is in the Cape Quarter. You can contact the store on 082 962 9185 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
