If you adore beautifully crafted, locally made jewellery – or daschunds – you’ll fall in love with the Shelley & Harry jewellery range. We first introduced designer Shelley and her business partner and best friend, Harry the daschund, online last year with the launch of their stunning Goddess range. Since then the brand has boomed and we were thrilled to hear that they’d be opening their very first store in the Mother City!
Now open in Sea Point, the shop is as exquisite as the jewellery collection it houses. With its trademark ‘Harry-themed’, daschund wallpaper, sophisticated design and cabinets filled with trinkets that will melt a girl’s heart, the shop was well worth the wait for owner, Shelley Robertson. ‘The vintage charm added to the hustle and bustle of Main Road made this area the perfect choice for Shelley & Harry’s new shop’, she says.
Loyal fans of the brand will be able to view their original ranges – like Floral, Coco and Goddess – in the store, and can also expect new additions like the Love Gold collection, featuring white, yellow and rose gold pieces studded with diamonds and gemstones. For some added ‘bling’, the shop also includes a display of the recently launched Living Endangered collection from The Last Word.
Another highlight is the new range of Houndstooth handbags and clutches – complete with daschund-motifs, of course – which are made with a 100% leather trim.
