Rihanna Launches Her First Book
Rihanna has created a 504-page visual autobiography – plus stands co-designed with the Haas Bothers – that gives fans a behind-the-scenes look at her life.
Beauty, music and fashion icon Rihanna has announced the release of her autobiography, a 504-page visual story featuring over 1000 photographs from the course of her life so far.
To create the book, which provides an inside look at her thriving creative life, the multitalented star chose to partner with Phaidon, the acclaimed global publisher of books on art, architecture, design, fashion, photography, pop culture and more.
Covering a gamut of topics ranging from her Barbados childhood to worldwide tours, the autobigraphy takes a look at all the most intimate moments in her career thus far, and includes private time with friends and family. It is an exclusive look at Rihanna's life as an artist, a performer, a designer and an entrepreneur.

This is one of those books that's rather like an artwork in its own right, with the care and attention to detail that has gone into its design very evident throughout. In short, Rihanna has created something that is way more than just a coffee-table book.
The spine has been designed with a custom-dyed hot pink cloth binding that wraps around the back cover, with the Phaidon logo embossed on the back.
Readers can look forward to an 11-page special insert in the book too. Plus, a large number of the images in the autobiography have never been published before and will be seen for the first time here.
Our favourite part of the offering, though, are the two brilliantly quirky custom-designed stands that were created especially to hold the hefty tome.
These are the wittily named 'This Sh*t Is Heavy' and 'Drippy + The Brain' (pictured below) stands, and they make this gorgeous special-edition book even more desirable.
The book will be available from 24 October on the Phaidon website.
