Three leading Dutch design-thinkers and doers will be making their way to Cape Town to speak at this year’s Design Indaba conference.
The the Consulate General of the Kingdom of the Netherlands is proud to announce Henk Ovink, the Senior Advisor for Water Management to the Obama administration, Kurt Ward, Head of Design at Philips and Frank Houben, Director of Communication and Corporate Identity at KLM.
The invitation comes from Consul General of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Cape Town, Bonnie Horbach, who since her appointment in in 2013, has made it her mission to bring together Dutch and South African counterparts to co-create solutions for local challenges.
Bonnie launched the #cocreateSA platform and fund as her legacy to World Design Capital Cape Town 2014 and remains dedicated to seizing every opportunity for co-creation between the two countries.
The Dutch experts will be doing a range of seminars, presentations, site visits and workshops in and around Cape Town.
Their individual programmes will merge on two events that are open for the public: a Dutch design-thinking seminar at Stellenbosch University on 27 February from 09.00 to 11.00 and at Educator’s Indaba on 28 February, from 8.30 to 12.00 at the Cape Town International Conference Centre.
