Anyone who considers themselves a home body with a passion for constantly updating their abode would do well to attend the 23rd edition of the Johannesburg Homemakers Expo at Ticketpro Dome anytime between Thursday 25 and Sunday 28 February 2016.
The highly anticipated exhibition caters to all the needs of homeowners who are looking to turn a house into a sanctuary, with sections dedicated to DIY renovations, decor and furniture, gardens and more.
Highlights include the Builders Arena, which features a celebrity theatre, DIY demonstrations and an opportunity to shop for tools and accessories; the Inspire, Create and Innovate wall where you can take a tactile tour of an interactive wall (kids welcome too); the Clever Cuts section, which showcases rechargeable lawnmowers; and the Live by Design zone, where visitors can get a feel for trends and styles in decor and design.
The exhibition also showcases the worthwhile initiative Tshepo’s Seeds of Hope, which aims to support local communities through job creation in the home improvement sector.
Of course, the folks behind the expo realise that a lot of browsing and buying can stimulate the appetite, so they’ve included a deli section too where visitors can pick up some tasty culinary treats.
Tickets are available at the door and cost R100 for adults and R60 for pensioners; children under 12 can get in for free.
