The ever-intriguing Vamp showroom in Woodstock, Cape Town, recently had some new furniture stock delivered. Amongst the deco style mirrors, solid wood items, brightly coloured metal lockers and other interesting finds, we spotted this beautiful set of triangular tables. These vintage lovelies have been restored to an impeccable state by the talented team over at Vamp, but haven’t lost their initial charm. The store estimates that the tables were locally manufactured in the late 1950s or early 1960s. The tops are made of chipboard with a mahogany veneer and rimmed with plastic beading in classic gold and black. Vamp updated their look by sanding down the entire tables and spraying the tops in a natural palette of cream, grey and black. The solid mahogany legs are brass capped and were re-sprayed in a natural varnish. At just R285 each, they’re available from Vamp at 368 Albert Road, Woodstock, Cape Town (opposite the Old Biscuit Mill).
