WHERE Hout Bay, Cape Town

WHAT A spacious house in a residential estate with a panoramic view of all of Hout Bay and beyond… The sharply sloping site was just one of the structural challenges that faced the owner; bringing the project to fruition took a team effort, from architect Paolo Deliperi to M+M Space Design’s Mark and Michele Metior. The dominant materials – timber, steel and glass – give it a contemporary feel, while inside it’s all silky hi-tech function and form. When the exterior doors are folded away, the home resembles a massive outdoor courtyard.
