Just like Jozi’s skyline and hadedas have been immortalised in the Love Jozi Free Range collection of tees, now Cape Town scenery and motifs are also being permanently stitched and sewn onto something that you can treasure forever. The latest fabric collection from Hertex Fabrics, aptly named ‘From Cape Town with Love’, has captured well-known landmarks and imagery of the Mother City in a range of beautiful prints.
Designed by Tanya Sturgeon , the new collection is described as ‘a graphic testimonial of the love affair between its creator and the Mother City’. It features several distinct designs, ranging from fabrics adorned with indigenous Cape birds and flowers, to maps of the old Cape colony and photographs of historic Cape Town buildings and landmarks, like the beloved Table Mountain. If you’d prefer to go with something less busy, there are also simpler options, like the striped fabrics and others that are stamped with beautiful hearts.
From Cape Town with Love fabrics are all double width (280cm) and can be printed on both bone and linen colours. They’re available from Hertex Fabrics for approximately R595 per metre (including VAT).
