Common Thread: 3 Rugs To Love This Season

Here are three stand-out woven pieces we love for every decor scheme.

Though often neglected in a decoratng scene, a carefully-selected rug is one of the House & Leisure team’s top tips for grounding and defining your space. From colourful statement pieces, to charming Asiatic designs, there’s nothing that can bring personality to your space quite like the perfect rug. But where to start? We’ve picked three of our favourites across styles and price points that are bang on trend. Happy shopping!

1. The modern statement piece

We’re in love with this unique 100% cotton, handwoven design by Kirsten Townsend of Fabrica that forms part of the 'Unmasked' collection. If you’re looking for a conversation starter, and a brilliant starting point for a modern, contemporary layout, then this is your rug.

2. The chic Persian, but on budget

There are few rooms that couldn’t do with a little bit of the sophistication and charm that comes with a traditional Persian carpet. But, they are notoriously pricey. This one is a riff on a traditional Turkish design, but brought into a modern design language with a well-worn finish.

3. The casual runner

For a lighter, more laid-book look try out a more simple pattern in brighter colours. We’re very into this simple cotton printed one with a wavy mustard print. If it’s fun you’re after then give this rug a try, maybe in your hallway, or next to your bed.
