If you’re a home-grown Capetonian – or just love to amble around Saturday markets and get your fix of fresh produce – chances are you’ve made at least one stop at the popular City Bowl Market on Hope Street. If their weekend markets don’t give you enough time to browse the stalls, mingle with the crowds or snatch up their delicious offerings, you’ll be delighted to hear that the market will now also be taking place on Thursday evenings too!
The first City Bowl Evening Market is launching on Thursday, 13 September, and promises to bring you more of the goodness you’ve come to expect from the fabulous market organisers. It’s a great option for people who don’t have time to cook after work, as you can enjoy an impressive range of dinner options – from Indian, Italian and Mexican, to Chinese, Spanish, Argentinian and sushi. Simply want to stock up your pantry? Then take your pick from a decadent spread of fresh fruit and veggies, meat, fish, patisserie and confectionery goodies, dairy products and a wide selection of beverages (both hot and cold).
There is also a beautiful fashion section and three different bars if you want to kick back and relax.
The first evening market will be open between 16:30 – 20:30pm on 13 September at 14 Hope Street, Gardens, Cape Town. Thereafter, you can pop in every Thursday evening! Visit citybowlmarket.co.za for more information or to get in touch.
