Enaba ceramics

Enaba is roughly translated from Zulu to mean ‘feel at home’ and in a society of ever-changing trends and pressures, this reassuring sentiment couldn’t be more welcome. Enaba’s two ranges speak of kitchen functionality, and are very aptly named Eat and Drink. A mix of stoneware clay with warm tones, the ceramics offer rich textures with a chunky appeal. Anne Shultz work is full of contrast with a strong focus on tactility. For the more refined diner the white-bodied porcelain clay lends itself to espresso cups and more delicate, yet still exceptionally functional pieces.  A tried-and-trusted, age-old clay recipe, combined with a skillful creative process, yields handcrafted ceramics with an organic feel ready for your table and kitchen. Each piece is hand thrown onto the wheel and this personal and lengthy process ensures an authentic product.  The functionality extends itself further as all the products are ovenproof as well as dishwasher and microwave safe, meaning they are perfect for serving and sharing meals. You can find Anne at Durban's Wonder Market or get in touch via her website to add one off her handcrafted pieces to your ceramic collection.
